CHARM, ELEGANCE and QUALITY.

South Africa is one of the most diverse, enchanting countries in the world. Exotic combinations of landscapes, people, history and culture offer the traveller a unique experience. South Africa boasts some of the best, least crowded beaches in the world, renowned wildlife parks such as Kruger Park, beautiful natural scenery and a stable post-apartheid environment.

South Africa's immensely varied terrain supports a rich diversity of wildlife, birdlife, (Bird & Wineroute in Robertson) and plant-life and offers an incomparable range of experiences and natural beauty for which tourists flock to the country.
Cape Route 62 is the tourist route in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape, South Africa, that meanders between Cape Town, Oudtshoorn, and Port Elizabeth, offering the shorter, scenic alternative to the Garden Route.

It's an area of magnificent landscapes, crystal clear streams and an abundance of trees and indigenous flora - all contribute to make Paarl, Wellington, the Breede River Valley with Robertson, Klein Karoo some of South Africa's most diverse regions and it is called to be the longest wine route in the world.

Robertson is the Heart of the Western Cape and Route-62 with 150 years of history. It has grown into one of the most attractive Cape Wineland towns, with Victorian buildings, Jacaranda-lined streets and the beautiful Garden Route 317 to Bonnievale. The distance to the Robertson golf course is only 3 km and with 355 days of sun shine it offers a wide range of activities.

GUBAS DE HOEK is the place to meet, eat, sleep and to
discover the Robertson Wine Valley.

Traffic
Left-hand traffic in South Africa! A international driver’s license is mostly required. There are plenty of speed traps and section control – the car rental companies belatedly charge your credit card. Along the Route 62, the Garden Route and the Western Cape the streets are mostly in good condition and the traffic is minor, except big cities.

Petrol stations
Along the Garden Route and the Western Cape
there are plenty of petrol stations, some of which only accept cash.

Security
In Robertson and on Route-62 the incidence of crime is very low.
Off-street parking is provided.

In Cape Town the crime level is not unlike any metropolitan area. 90% Of crime happens at night and weekends in the townships of the big cities. Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban etc.

If you act as sensible tourists the risk is low.
Secure your handbags, don’t let cameras or
bags on the car seat, don’t wear flashy jewellery and
keep away from dark streets at night.
